A good performance from third baseman J.J. McGarrett helped the Biloxi Shuckers defeat the Montgomery Biscuits, 4-3. McGarrett went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Shuckers. Bruce O'Slattery got the win, improving to 1-1. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 10 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 1. The Shuckers have now won 5 straight.

McGarrett contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Biloxi in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, McGarrett took a fastball from Hudson Card and stroked the home run to right. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Shuckers to leap in front, 4-1.

"I really like what we did out there today," McGarrett said after the game.
