Braves Clip Jumbo Shrimp, 2-1
|
Mississippi Braves starter Brandon Beers was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, 2-1. Mississippi, at 55-33, is 13 games up in the South.
The Braves procured the win, in large part because of second baseman Alejandro Pie. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring double.
"This wasn't a good win," said Beers. "It was a great win."
