Hopkins Goes Deep Twice in 9-4 Grasshoppers Win
Getting a good performance from third baseman Andrew Hopkins, the Greensboro Grasshoppers defeated the West Virginia Power, 9-4. Hopkins went 4-5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. He drove in 7 runs and scored twice for the Grasshoppers. Greensboro pitcher Sergio Guerra got the win, upping his record to 1-1. Mike Nicholas got the loss. The loss has the Power at 12-7.

Greensboro took a 9-4 lead on Hopkins's 2nd home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off António Castillo in the top of the seventh, propelled Greensboro to the win.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Hopkins told the Greensboro Gazette.
