Lookouts Rally For 5-3 Win
|
Riley Tirotta had a good game, but he could not keep the Pensacola Blue Wahoos from falling, 5-3, to the Chattanooga Lookouts at Pensacola Bayfront Stadium. The Pensacola third baseman was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs in the loss. Chattanooga reliever Marcos Márquez was the winner. His record is now 2-2. The losing pitcher was Zach Maxwell. With the win, Chattanooga upped its record to 51-48.
Chattanooga used the timely hitting of Kyle Castner to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Lookouts on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
Castner called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
