Bauer, Braves Too Much for Blue Wahoos

Mississippi took on Pensacola in front of a lively crowd.
The Mississippi Braves defeated the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, 8-0, at Pensacola Bayfront Stadium today. Leading the charge for Mississippi was shortstop Bo Bauer. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Seth Lonsway earned the win for Mississippi. He lasted 7.2 innings, allowing no runs on 6 hits, while striking out 9. With the win, he raised his record to 8-5.
With Mississippi leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Bauer hit a cutter from Frankie Martin for a run-scoring double. It was his 20th double of the season and put the Braves ahead, 2-0.
"We came out aggressive," said Braves manager Marquis Grissom. "We came out swinging the bats."
The win gives Mississippi a season record of 62-47.
