Biscuits Lose By a Run at Jackson, 1-0

Clarence Dunn pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Montgomery Biscuits, despite Dunn's fine outing, dropped a 1-0 decision to the Jackson Generals at The Ballpark at Jackson. Jack Enger earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 2-1. Sam Smith was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 17 of 19 save opportunities.
Zach Roberts, the Jackson shortstop, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 1-0, Generals. For the game, Roberts was 1 for 3.
"It feels good to get this one," Roberts told the Jackson Daily News.
Jackson occupies last place in the North at 48-60.
