Cannon Ballers Make Crawdads 7-1 Losers
L.P. Frans Stadium was the site for South Atlantic League action featuring the Hickory Crawdads and Kannapolis Cannon Ballers.

Kannapolis got a strong outing from Trevor McDonald as the Cannon Ballers defeated the Hickory Crawdads, 7-1, at L.P. Frans Stadium. Augusto Costa sewed up the save, his 1st.

Kannapolis relied on the hitting of Fernando Hernández to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Cannon Ballers on top, 2-0. For the game, Hernández had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said McDonald.

Losses have been few and far between for the Crawdads so far this season. Their record drops to 16-6.
