The home crowd had a good time watching the Mobile BayBears and Montgomery Biscuits get after it.

The Montgomery Biscuits got a stellar effort from pitcher Gerald Williams, helping Montgomery score a win over the visiting Mobile BayBears, 5-1. The winning pitcher was Williams, now 3-5. He tossed 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6.

The Biscuits got a big hit from designated hitter Freddy Zamora. In the bottom of the fifth, Zamora pounded a 2-run double to center. His 10th double of the season put the Biscuits ahead, 3-0.

Zamora said his team "played with determination."

Montgomery now has a record of 58-51 with the win.
