Arkansas center fielder Jasson Dominguez had a good game, even if his team did not. The Travelers dropped a 6-4 decision to Amarillo at Dickey-Stephens Park. Dominguez went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Grant Ford finished the game for Amarillo and earned his 1st save. The Sod Poodles raised their record to 3-3.
Amarillo relied on the hitting of Sidney Paul to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Sod Poodles on top, 4-2. For the game, Paul had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," Paul told the Amarillo Chronicle.
