Shorebirds Get Past Columbia for 5-4 Win
|
The Delmarva Shorebirds racked up a win at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium, bumping off the Columbia Fireflies, 5-4. CJ Weins, who started for Delmarva, pitched effectively for his team. Delmarva reliever Kelsey Reilly was the winner. His record is now 3-0. Jesús Acosta took the loss. The Shorebirds raised their record to 18-10.
Santiago Díaz was the walk-off hero for Delmarva. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Shorebirds designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
