Cerda Hits 2 home runs in Shorebirds Win
Allan Cerda was instrumental in his team's 7-4 triumph over the Greensboro Grasshoppers. The left fielder was 2-4 with 2 home runs and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Delmarva Shorebirds. The winning pitcher was Tom Brandt. His record is now 3-1. The right-hander went 5.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits for the Shorebirds. Thomas Douglas earned the save for Delmarva, his 3rd of the year.

Ryan Holgate, the 23-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Holgate contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put Delmarva up, 5-4.
