Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium was the site of a tense game between the Northwest Arkansas Naturals and Amarillo Sod Poodles.

Amarillo pitcher Júlio Pinto did his part in helping his team beat the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, 3-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Donnie Jenkins, credited with the save, is now 26 for 27 in save opportunities.

Pinto's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 8 strikeouts in 7 innings while allowing 2 hits. Pinto, who is tied for 3rd in the TEX in innings pitched with 124.0, goes to 7-6 on the year with 105 strikeouts.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Pinto said.

The win gives Amarillo a season record of 59-47.
