JetHawks Trip Quakes, 3-2, in Extra Innings
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Lancaster JetHawks and Rancho Cucamonga Quakes.

The Lancaster JetHawks overcame a good performance by Rancho Cucamonga left fielder Joe Lampe to knock off Rancho Cucamonga, 3-2, at Clear Channel Stadium. Lampe was 3 for 5 with 3 singles. Gunner Mayer earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. His record is now 1-0.

Billy Stanley gave Lancaster a good at-bat in the bottom of the second inning. With the bases loaded, he grounded out, driving in 1 run to help send Lancaster to the win.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Rancho Cucamonga manager Bengie Molina said following the tough loss.

To call the performance of the 2024 Quakes disappointing is an understatement.
