6-5 Loss to Storm Extends Rancho Cucamonga Losing Streak
|
Led by Keith Pruitt, the Lake Elsinore Storm defeated the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, 6-5. Pruitt went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Storm. Luis Meléndez finished to wrap up his 3rd save. Rancho Cucamonga, at 3-15, has had a dismal start to the season.
Had Josh Kasevich not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Kasevich hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Storm.
"I still think this team can play even better," Pruitt told the Lake Elsinore Gazette.
