The Lake Elsinore Storm topped the High Desert Mavericks, 4-2, in California League action at Lake Elsinore Diamond. The standout performance belonged to Lake Elsinore pitcher and Irvine, California, native John Immerman. John Williams, now 2-1, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. The Storm now own a record of 21-28.

Lake Elsinore took a 4-2 lead on Andrew Stewart's 4th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Stewart hit in the bottom of the seventh, left High Desert pitcher Rob Russell visibly frustrated.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Lake Elsinore manager Dave Roberts.
