A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Lake Elsinore Storm and San Jose Giants.
Lake Elsinore picked up a win at San Jose Municipal Stadium, bumping off the San Jose Giants, 4-0. Pitcher Luke Drury was a major reason the Storm emerged victorious. Drury got the win, improving to 5-5. He allowed 4 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. Drury allowed no runs.
Early in the game, first baseman Kyle Stanley had a 2-run home run for Lake Elsinore. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Storm on top, 2-0.
"We put together a nice win," Stanley said.
At 60-48, the Storm are currently second in the South.
