Sasse Dominant in Mavericks Victory

High Desert Mavericks pitcher Michael Sasse was in fine form, leading his team past the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, 5-1. Quirino Forjaz nailed down his 2nd save. High Desert improves to 67-43 with the win. They lead their division by 6½ games.
The Quakes had trouble solving Sasse, who surrendered 1 run on 2 hits over 6.1 innings.
"We'll savor this win," Sasse told the High Desert Citizen, "then get ready for the next game."
