Red Sox Pull Off Thrilling 9-6 Win in Extras
The Salem Red Sox beat the Wilmington Blue Rocks, 9-6, at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium. The Red Sox got a fine performance from second baseman Rikelvin De Castro, who was 2-2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winner in relief was Ethan Lindow. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. The Blue Rocks drop to 5-6 and continue their mediocre start to the 2024 season.

Artie Myers drew 1 walk for Salem. The 25-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the 12th. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring walk off Steven Weatherall. It was his 5th walk of the season.
