Pelicans Deal Red Sox 5-1 Setback
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans picked up a win at Jackie Robinson Ballpark, knocking off the Salem Red Sox, 5-1. Starting pitcher Dan Villari played a key role in the triumph. The win brings the Pelicans to 12-8, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.

The Pelicans got a big at-bat from right fielder Dylan Crews. For the game, Crews was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Myrtle Beach a 2-0 lead.

"I felt good up there," said Crews. "I saw the ball well."
