Losing Streak Continues for Mudcats with 5-1 Loss to Pelicans
Myrtle Beach picked up a win at Ed Smith Stadium, toppling the Carolina Mudcats, 5-1. Pitcher Markevian Hence was one of the reasons the Pelicans triumphed. The losses continue to add up for Carolina, which has now fallen 10 times in a row.

Myrtle Beach used the timely hitting of Elijah Green to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Pelicans ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Myrtle Beach skipper Webster Garrison.
