Mudcats Pull Off Thrilling 4-3 Win in Extras
The Carolina Mudcats wiggled past the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, 4-3, at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. The win was highlighted by the performance of Carolina pitcher Thomas Kuczynski. Carolina is now 51-64. Myrtle Beach is 64-51.

Carolina used the timely hitting of RJ Schreck to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 23rd inning to put the Mudcats on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Gary Kendall.
