Hillcats Tack 3-2 Loss on Blue Rocks

The Lynchburg Hillcats eked out a 3-2 win versus the Wilmington Blue Rocks at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Henry Williams. He was terrific. Williams picked up the win for Lynchburg, going 5.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 5-7. Earning his 14th save of the year was Jorge Martínez.
Todd Gallahur, the 24-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Gallahur contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put Lynchburg up, 3-2.
In postgame comments to the Lynchburg Today, Williams said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
Lynchburg, with the win, is 39-78.
