The Frederick Keys picked up a win at Harry Grove Stadium, knocking off the Winston-Salem Dash, 5-4. Starting pitcher CJ Weins was a big reason why. Winston-Salem, at 69-50, has lost 4 straight.
The Keys got a big at-bat from right fielder Victor Mesa Jr.. For the game, Mesa Jr. was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 16th home run of the season gave Frederick a 4-0 lead.
