Fire Frogs Take Down Blue Jays, 5-4
The Dunedin Blue Jays got a superb performance from pitcher Juan Menéndez. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Florida. The Fire Frogs won the game, 5-4. Menéndez threw 6.1 innings allowing 1 runs. The winner in relief was Brian Thorne. He is now 1-0. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 2 innings. Dunedin falls to 1-2.

Florida used the timely hitting of Norberto Garza to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Fire Frogs on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Garza.
