Clearwater Gets 5-1 Win
|
Clearwater pitcher Júlio Rodríguez did his part in helping his team beat the Daytona Tortugas, 5-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Levi Bennett recorded the save for Clearwater, his 3rd of the season. Daytona is 1-3 after the defeat.
Tony Segura, the 22-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Segura contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the second inning to put Clearwater up, 1-0.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Clearwater manager Frank Francisco.
