Clearwater Gets 3-0 Win
The Clearwater Threshers topped the Lakeland Flying Tigers, 3-0, in Florida State League action at JetBlue Park at Fenway South. The standout performance belonged to Clearwater pitcher and San Diego, California, native Nick Nastrini. The winning pitcher was Nastrini, now 1-0. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 3. Levi Bennett earned the save for Clearwater, his 4th.

Clearwater used a well-timed hit by Nathan Harrison to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Threshers ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Nastrini.

With their winning streak at 4, the Threshers have raced to a strong start this season.
