4-0 Loss to Tortugas Extends Lakeland Losing Streak
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Daytona Tortugas and Lakeland Flying Tigers.

Daytona Tortugas starter Kenny Shull was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Lakeland Flying Tigers, 4-0. The Flying Tigers, now 6-11, continue their slow start.

The Flying Tigers had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Tortugas going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 21-year old first baseman Wes Kath came to the plate. Kath hit a 2-run double on a 1-2 changeup from Lakeland hurler Stephen Pikiell. It was Kath's 5th double of the year.

"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Kath.
