The Fort Myers Mighty Mussels got a sterling performance from pitcher Jason Forsett, but the Lakeland Flying Tigers still prevailed, 3-2. Forsett threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball. Hunter Ruth got credit for the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3.2 innings. The victory gives Lakeland a record of 16-13.

Ed Johnson was the walk-off hero for Lakeland. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Flying Tigers pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.

"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Johnson said.
