Mighty Mussels Collect 2-1 Win Over Tortugas
|
The Fort Myers Mighty Mussels beat the Daytona Tortugas, 2-1. Fort Myers pitcher and Whitehouse, Texas, native Jason Forsett led the way. The 4th-place Mighty Mussels have a record of 14-20.
The Mighty Mussels procured the win, in large part because of second baseman Juan Ramírez. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Forsett.
