Daytona starter Ryan Lentz had a strong outing against the Palm Beach Cardinals at Historic Sam Lynn Ballpark. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 2-1 win. Daytona pitcher Adrián Romas got the win, upping his record to 2-2. Jarrod Elmore got the loss. The Tortugas have an impressive 23-14 record.
Brent Moore drove in one run for Daytona. The 23-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Jarrod Elmore. It was his 2nd RBI of the season.
"I felt good up there," said Moore. "I saw the ball well."
