Fire Frogs Win at Palm Beach, 1-0
|
The Palm Beach Cardinals got a superb performance from pitcher Jeremy Powers. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Florida. The Fire Frogs won the game, 1-0. Powers threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball. The victory makes Florida 13-33.
It could have been a different outcome for Florida, had it not been for Paul Forrest, the 23-year old catcher . Forrest contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Florida up, 1-0.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Forrest told the Florida Daily.
