The St. Lucie Mets beat the Lakeland Flying Tigers, 4-0, at JetBlue Park at Fenway South. Starting pitcher Jared Shuster was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. With the win, St. Lucie raised its record to 29-19.

Shuster, who dominated for St. Lucie, earned the victory to move to 4-1. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 6. Lakeland batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Shuster told the St. Lucie Daily.
