Mets Prevail, 3-2, Over Florida

The Florida Fire Frogs and St. Lucie Mets provided some drama for the home crowd.
St. Lucie pitcher Vincente Fernández did his part in helping his team beat the Florida Fire Frogs, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Michael McAvene collected his 14th save.
St. Lucie used the timely hitting of Cayden Wallace to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Mets on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Fernández called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
The Fire Frogs have now dropped 5 straight.
