Threshers Drop Tarpons, 3-2

Clearwater Threshers starter Brady Cook turned in a top-notch performance against the Tampa Tarpons at George M. Steinbrenner Field. The result was a win for the Threshers, 3-2. Edison Hall picked up the save for Clearwater, his 16th of the year. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Threshers.
Clearwater relied on the hitting of Edwin Griffin to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Threshers on top, 2-0. For the game, Griffin had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Afterward, Threshers manager Frank Francisco was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
