St. Lucie and Fort Myers duked it out and the Mets came out victorious.

The Fort Myers Mighty Mussels got a superb performance from pitcher Jason Forsett, but the St. Lucie Mets still won the game, 4-3. Forsett threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball. Michael McAvene earned the save, his 9th.

Jeff Johnson helped out the St. Lucie cause in the top of the ninth inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the designated hitter drew 2 walk in 5 trips to the plate.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Fort Myers manager Yushiro Ichihara. "But we decided not to take it."

The win elevated the Mets to 33-25.
