Blue Jays Earn 3-2 Win Versus Threshers
|
The Clearwater Threshers got a superb performance from pitcher Júlio Rodríguez, but the Dunedin Blue Jays still won the game, 3-2. Rodríguez threw 5.0 innings of 1-hit ball. Dunedin is now riding a 3-game win streak.
The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Ambrose Kennedy came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Clearwater pitcher Levi Bennett, he hit a 0-1 cutter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Dunedin on top, 3-2.
Kennedy called the win "a collective effort."
