Flying Tigers Reel Off Another Win
The Lakeland Flying Tigers picked up a win at JetBlue Park at Fenway South, knocking off the Daytona Tortugas, 4-2. Starting pitcher Kendall Williams played a key role in the triumph. In 6.2 innings, Williams surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. Juan Valdéz got the save, the 15th for him this season.

In the bottom of the third, Carlo Guerin hit a 3-run home run. The 1st home run of the season for the Lakeland center fielder put the Flying Tigers on top, 3-0.

Guerin called the win "a collective effort."
