Tarpons Win at Florida, 5-2
|
The Tampa Tarpons got a strong performance from pitcher Alex Brink, who stymied the Florida offense en route to a win, 5-2, at Space Coast Stadium. The last-place Fire Frogs have lost 5 straight games.
Tampa relied on the hitting of Vaughn Grissom to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Tarpons on top, 5-2. For the game, Grissom had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
