The Clearwater Threshers knocked off the Florida Fire Frogs, 4-3, at Carpenter Complex. Nick Miller was a big reason Clearwater won. The designated hitter was 2 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Reliever Zack Showalter picked up the win. His record improves to 3-2. Dave Eichelberger took the loss. Clearwater now sits in third place in the North at 38-35.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Clearwater trailing 3-2, Miller hit a fastball from Dave Eichelberger for a 2-run home run, giving the Threshers the walk-off win.
