The Charlotte Stone Crabs and Fort Myers Mighty Mussels provided some drama for the home crowd.

In a tight game between the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels and the Charlotte Stone Crabs, pitcher Ernest Mabee was terrific on the mound. The Fort Myers right-hander helped his team to the 2-1 win. The save was credited to James Elwell, his 2nd.

It could have been a different outcome for Fort Myers, had it not been for Ron O'Halloran, the 24-year old shortstop . O'Halloran contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 13th inning to put Fort Myers up, 2-1.

"We scored one run," said Charlotte manager Hunter Pence. "You're not gonna get a lot of Ws scoring just one run."

The winning streak has now reached 5 games for the Mighty Mussels.
