Hammerheads Get Past Bradenton for 3-2 Win
|
Behind an impressive start by Brett Kerry, Jupiter beat Bradenton, 3-2. Jupiter pitcher Mike Sims got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Christopher Cruz got the loss. Jupiter raised its record to 39-38 with the win.
Jupiter used the timely hitting of Daniel Coleman to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Hammerheads on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Every loss hurts," said Bradenton manager Stu Cole. "But this was a tough one."
