The Daytona Tortugas knocked off the Charlotte Stone Crabs, 6-1, at Historic Sam Lynn Ballpark. Peyton Brown was a big reason Daytona won. The designated hitter went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Tortugas, at 59-44, sit in second place in the North.

Brown contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Daytona in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Brown took a cutter from Andy Rucker and stroked the home run to left-center. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Tortugas to leap in front, 3-1.

"We'll savor this win," Brown told the Daytona Citizen, "then get ready for the next game."
