Getting a good performance from third baseman Brayden Thomas, the Tampa Tarpons defeated the Florida Fire Frogs, 7-5. Thomas went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Tarpons. Jeffrey Hakanson earned his 13th save in 18 chances. Florida has now lost 4 straight.

With Tampa leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Thomas hit a curveball from Chad Smith for a 3-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Tarpons ahead, 4-0.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Thomas.
