Phipps goes 3-for-4 to Power Mets Offense
The 6-1 St. Lucie win over Clearwater was due largely to Todd Phipps. The Mets center fielder was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. St. Lucie pitcher Russell Smith got the win. He's now 5-8. Brady Cook was tagged with the loss. With the win, St. Lucie upped its record to 73-49.

In the top of the fourth, with the game still scoreless, Phipps hit a 2-run double to put his team in the lead.
