Flying Tigers Deal Fire Frogs 5-2 Defeat
|
The Lakeland Flying Tigers topped the Florida Fire Frogs by the score of 5-2, with the largest share of the credit going to left fielder Quincy Brown. Brown was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Flying Tigers. The winning pitcher was Owen Murphy. He's now 2-5. He went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits for the Flying Tigers. Brent Morgan converted his 8th save in 10 tries.
One of the key players for the Flying Tigers was shortstop Jeremy Trussell, who drilled a run-scoring triple in the bottom of the fifth inning. For the game, Trussell went 2 for 3 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
