Mighty Mussels Win 3-2 Walk-Off
The St. Lucie Mets got a superb performance from pitcher Charley Schumer, but the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels still won the game, 3-2. Schumer threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The last-place Mighty Mussels are now 64-72, the Mets 66-70.

The Mighty Mussels procured the win, in large part because of designated hitter Denny Oliver. In the bottom of the 13th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"Tough loss," said St. Lucie manager Mel Stottlemyre Jr.. "But we'll learn from it."
