The Lansing Lugnuts topped the Lake County Captains by the score of 6-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to catcher Steve Buschhorn. Buschhorn went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Lugnuts on the day. Nick Paciorek finished the game for Lansing and earned his 1st save. The win puts Lansing at 2-1.

Buschhorn contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Lansing in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Buschhorn took a fastball from Héctor Machado and stroked the home run to left-center. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Lugnuts to leap in front, 3-1.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Buschhorn said after the game.
