The West Michigan Whitecaps topped the Lake County Captains, 4-2, with youngster Mitchell Miller playing a key role. Miller was 3 for 5 with a home run, a triple, and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Whitecaps in the win. At 11-5, the Whitecaps have played well so far.

With West Michigan leading 3-2 in the top of the ninth, Miller hit a fastball from Jorge Ávila for a run-scoring double. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Whitecaps ahead, 4-2.

"I still think this team can play even better," Miller told the West Michigan Today.
