The Bowling Green Hot Rods beat the Dayton Dragons, 3-0. Bowling Green pitcher and North Adams, Massachusetts, native Francisco Romano led the way. The Dragons, at 5-12, have stumbled out of the gate.

Romano was in the zone all game. He frustrated Dayton hitters while giving the Hot Rods 7.2 innings of quality work. Romano threw 89 pitches, allowing 2 hits and getting 10 punchouts.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Romano told the Bowling Green Gazette.
