The Dayton Dragons got a superb performance from pitcher Ian Ritchie, but the Beloit Snappers still won the game, 4-3. Ritchie threw 5.1 innings allowing 2 runs. Reliever Brendon Mills picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Juan González took the loss. The Snappers, with just their 9th win so far in 2024, have yet to catch fire.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Beloit pinch hitter Landon Keneley, facing Juan González, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Snappers the 4-3 win.
"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Dayton manager Alex Gordon.
